    HYPED!! So because I am coming back to heavy training after a "layoff" (due to injury) I think the tips in this video will apply to most people who are unable to train normally due to the pandemic. Hopefully you guys will find it helpful for when we're all back in the gym as normal. I'm hoping sooner than later! I put the summary and tips at the end of the video by the way. Peace!

    I used to compete in power lifting and when training for a lift event I typically would never do heavy training lifts in the pyramid starting at around 6 heavy on back to back days. This was particularly important if I was doing squat or dead lift. These lifts, if you are approaching your 1rm, hit everything pretty hard and there is the mental and nervous system fatigue factor included. Obviously on lift day you do all 3 lifts at your 1rm on the same day. I found sometimes that one or the other of my lifts would actually be more than I could hit in training which I always thought was a bit curious. I sometimes beat my best my best 1rm in a competition.
